STAR CINEMA & VIVA FILMS HITS NEW ALL TIME RECORD FOR NO OTHER WOMAN!

As of yesterday, October 11, the adult drama No Other Woman has already grossed P210 million.

Star Advertising and Promotions director Roxy Liquigan told PEP.ph that the movie starring Anne Curtis, Derek Ramsay, and Cristine Reyes reached this amount in a span of 14 days.

Directed by Ruel Bayani, No Other Woman is written by Kriz Gazmen and Jay Fernando. It is co-produced by Star Cinema and Viva Films.

No Other Woman has been graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board, allowing it to receive a 100-percent exemption from amusement taxes. The film is rated R-13 by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board.

The movie tackles the complicated situation of a married man named Ram Escaler (Derek Ramsay) who is torn between his "perfect wife" Charmaine (Cristine Reyes) and his mistress Kara (Anne Curtis).

Last October 2, the movie achieved blockbuster status when it grossed P100 million in the first five days after opening in cinemas nationwide.

With its tickets sales amounting P210 million, No Other Woman overtakes the previous box-office record held by the romantic comedy You Changed My Life. According to Mr. Liquigan, the John Lloyd Cruz-Sarah Geronimo starrer grossed P209 million.

You Changed My Life was previously touted as the highest-grossing local movies of all-time in the Philippines. It now moves to second place because of the strong ticket sales of No Other Woman.

The Kris Aquino-starrer Sukob (2009) is now in third place with its box-office gross of P203 million.
