GMA's most expensive project to date, the P150-million historical epic series AMAYA, proved to be a worthwhile investment as it lured in the most number of advertisement in prime time! It cashed in tons of support form advertisers totaling over 52 product placements or 18.5 ad minutes last January 13, 2012. It easily shy off ABS-CBN's Ikaw ay Pag-ibig with a decent 45 product placements or 15.75 ad minutes. This is despite the fact that IAP leads AMAYA in the National Urban Ratings! However, despite this overwhelming success for AMAYA, GMA's other prime time program suffers inferiority against rivals from ABS-CBN when it comes to TV Ads and NUTAM figures. The Mega Manila top rater, Munting Heredera only earned 22 product placements or equivalent to 6.25 ad minutes, a far cry from its kapamilya rival, BUDOY, which earns 39 product placements or 13.5 ad minutes. In totality ABS-CBN still wins the support of Advertisers in Prime time for which bulk of ad revenues are sourced.
